Betty's gone sick
Today my dear cousin Betty fell sick. Although, whether she is honestly sick or if she has just gone mad is not know. I think she is just playing a game due to the fact that she does not want to get in trouble with her father Parris. You see, we were dancing in the woods the other night with Tituba, and we cast spells so that we can get the men we love and want. But Parris found us and caused mass hysteria within the group of terrified girls. Betty knew that the easy way out would be to fake sick and therefore she would not be bothered nor questioned by her father or anybody else. On the contrary, she attracted more attention than most of the other girls simply because everybody was so worried, oh please! I guess they are not bright enough to see her trick. So, I decided to just tell Parris and the others that yes, we did dance in the woods, thinking that once the truth was out, Betty would awaken. Oh but she did not, Betty remained still in bed until she played up her acting even more and screamed for her dead mother and tried to jump out of a window, how crazy! She has let her sickness get to her head and she needs to knock it out of her system sooner than later. It is fake, after all, and to remain friends us girls are trying our hardest to play along. We are all so done with her faking, wake up Betty, wake up!

That Dirty Witch!
Today I used my power to my best and used what I saw at the trials to blame Elizabeth Proctor of witchcraft! I saw Mary Warren at the trials making a little poppet that I knew she would take home for Mrs. Proctor as a gift. Needing a place to store the needle, Mary stuck it into the dolls stomach. It was right then when I knew I wanted to use that against Elizabeth. Later that night at the dinner table, I was dining and slipped a needle into my stomach and started screaming out that it was Elizabeth's mind that controlled the needle and forced it into me. Nobody else saw me stick it in there myself so when I screeched of Elizabeth's name they took immediate belief of my story! She was later blamed of witchcraft when they saw the poppet in her house with the needle in it's stomach, just like the needle in mine. I felt so genius! Then, being as dumb as she is, Elizabeth tried to defend herself by slipping out that she wanted me dead and off the earth, how perfect! The whole setup worked out so well, I felt so accomplished being that I finally did something that proved Elizabeth Proctor guilty of witchcraft! My perfect plan worked out perfectly well. *Picture credit goes to The Theatre South Carolina Production of The Crucible
My poor John!
Today was not an average day in Salem, for there were hangings of our loved ones. The goodwives I mind not at all, but seeing Rebecca Nurse and John Proctor up to hang shook my nerves. Rebecca Nurse was one of the sweetest people I have ever known and I loved her dearly. She was such a kind person and always knew how to keep a positive mood. She was exactly what Salem needed and now she's gone, what we'll do without her is unknown! So many people loved her so dearly, her hanging is a serious misfortune. But I know that I would so much rather voice my opinion on John Proctor! How is it that he has been hanged? So many people have such great love for such a handsome man, I just don't understand how this has been allowed. I loved John Proctor with all of my heart, and I know he loved me too! How I would have so much rather seen Elizabeth being pushed off of that stand to be killed! She is an evil woman who never deserved a man as great as John, whereas I did! I am so involved in this town, as is he, and we would have been so perfect together. But no, John had to go stand up in front of cort and admit to having an affair with me, ugh! What an overwhelming day it has been. I will go to rest now, sleep is much needed.
